Welcome
Reconciliation Initiatives has a vision for changing the culture of how Anglican churches handle their disagreements and for how the Church can contribute to bridging divisions and strengthening relationships in divided societies.

Reconciliation at our heart
Christians often feel embarrassed by conflict and seek to avoid it. Our great diversity and the tensions over our differences can seem debilitating. Yet God is always in the midst of conflict, prompting bridge-building and transformation because the life of God is shaped towards reconciling. The question is how we might discern and contribute to God’s reconciling work, both inside the Church and in the wider world.

Supporting Peacemaking
Reconciliation Initiatives is raising support to realise the plan for the Anglican Peacemaking Institute. We need your help.

About Us
Reconciliation Initiatives seeks to equip Anglican Christians and their communities to handle disagreement better, and to be agents for reconciliation in society.

The API idea came to Alastair McKay on 29 May 2015. He awoke with the idea of a relationship-building institute to resource Anglicans for practical peacemaking.
Peter Price - Chair of Trustees
'In the Church, we speak much of peace and reconciliation. However, we have too little experience of facilitating them - as our many divisions reveal. Reconciliation Initiatives aims to provide vision, skills and strategic resource for the Anglican churches to better transform conflict, build peace and promote reconciliation, across the global community of the Anglican Communion, grounded in the local level.'
